During the drought in 2011, the lake level at the LandsofAmerica.com buyer's property has steadily decreased. There are creeks, springs, and lakes in the surrounding areas going dry that have never (that anyone can remember) gone dry before. Despit the obvious negative effects of the drought, our buyers made an amazing discovery they never would have made without it!
About a month before, they started seeing what they thought was a massive rock in the swimming area. After a few more weeks of the lake level decreasing, they realized it was no rock—it was a massive truck! At first they thought this was interesting and a little funny and considered leaving it there as an interesting formation for a monster lunker bass or a big blue catfish to live under. The only problem was that it was right by the swimming area, and if someone jumped off the cliff next to it when the water levels obscured the truck, they could land right on top of it. While this drought has been hard on everyone including our buyers, they feel it is quite a blessing that the drought revealed this truck before anyone was injured!
After realizing it was a truck and making the decision to remove it, they talked to Alan Vincik and his team. They had the truck pulled out in no more than 30 minutes! They moved it to the shooting range area of the property as a target, and the lake is now much safer for these buyers to enjoy with their friends and family.
Stay tuned as our buyers continue to send in video and photos from the Extreme Barn Raising!
