AUCTIONEER’S NOTE: The historic “KREBS RANCH” offers some of the finest ranchland in western Kansas. Each pasture has good fences and two sources of water. We have divided the ranch into 5 parcels - Tract 1 is mostly cropland, Tract 2 is pasture and CRP, Tract 3 has approximately 193 acres of cropland, and Tracts 4 and 5 are all pasture and CRP. Each tract can stand alone or be combined for your convenience.

The historic Butterfield Trail follows the Smoky Hill River across the entire ranch from East to West. The ranch is bordered on the West by US Hwy 83 for approximately 5 miles of highway frontage. There are seven submersible stock wells on the ranch with a PVC pipeline from the North to the South, along with water from the Smoky Hill River, and many ponds, some springs, and windmills on the ranch. This is one of the best watered ranches in the Midwest. Whether you run your momma cows or yearlings, this ranch has good winter protection, good water and access, plus lots of grass!

There are two sets of corrals on the ranch, one North and one in the SW corner of Tract 5. There are some electric divider fences to control grazing. This ranch has fossil history second to none, along with the famous Dr. Wm. W. Wineinger murder by the Fleagle Gang in 1928!
