Description of the Land

A RARE FIND IN WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA - EXCELLENT VIEWS, PLENTIFUL WATER, USABLE LAND, SECLUSION, AND MOVE-IN READY HOMES - ALL IN ONE LOCATION BORDERING THOUSANDS OF ACRES OF NATIONAL FOREST! Nestled in the mountains of Western North Carolina Stoney Hollow Farm affords a wealth of opportunities for individuals or investors. Currently a working u-pick farm, the property has potential as a camp, vineyard/winery, community, bed and breakfast, lodge, restaurant, commercial farm or secluded private retreat. The center of the property is cleared and manicured and includes 8 acres of vineyard, orchard, berries, garden, greenhouses, packing barn and commercial kitchen as well as THREE HOMES, two story barn and creek-fed swimming pond. The rolling terrain creates the sense of many different "rooms with views" as each area unfolds before you. Surrounding the open area are acres of sloped timberland forming a protected cove. The sloped sides of this end-of-the-road paradise offer the potential for numerous house sites and amazing views of nearby Lake Santeetlah (Southern Living recently ranked lake Santeetlah the NUMBER 1 Mountain Lake in the Southeast), the Cheoah Mountains and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Two creeks flow throughout the farm from their source in the National Forest which adjoins the North, South, and Eastern borders of the property. Several springs and a well supply water to the farm operation and residences. Three move-in-ready, fully-furnished homes offer an array of choices for living and provide rental income if desired. (See our listing 187683 on VRBO) Our quiet community is a great place to raise children and a large portion is Forest Service which will continue to provide protection from over-development and creates a wonderland of recreational opportunities for the outdoor enthusiast or nature lover. We are just hours from Knoxville, TN, Asheville, NC and Atlanta, GA. For more information on this unique property please view our pictures, visit our website, print the PDF brochure, or contact us directly by phone or e-mail. We'll be happy to answer all your questions.
