The Lazy K Bar Ranch is situated in the cowboy state of Wyoming in Platte County with its headquarters located just off Interstate 25 via Horseshoe Creek Road or Ridge Road. The ranch is 5 miles from Glendo, 29 miles south of Douglas, the location of the Wyoming state fair, 42 miles north of Wheatland and 104 miles from Cheyenne. Glendo is a small rural town that has services including a K-12 school system. It is a well-known location for its 13 mile long Glendo Reservoir and North Platte River. More goods, services, shopping, restaurants, hospitals and commercial air service are available in Cheyenne, Douglas or Casper 78 miles north. Climate-Weather Conditions

Because of its elevation, Wyoming has a relatively cool climate throughout the state despite it being arid. Average high temperatures between June and August are 81 to 89 degrees. Summer nights are almost invariably cool, with lows of 49 to 54 degrees. Daytime average winter high temperatures range from 41 to 50 degrees with low temperatures between 15 to 20 degrees.

Average annual precipitation based on NCRS 30 year records, averages from 12 to 14 inches. The greatest amount of snowfall occurs in March and April averaging between 7 - 8 inches.
