Located near the Sand Dunes, which was a historical Indian campground, is one of the nicer custom homes in rural North Park. Several tribes would gather at the "Bull Pen" and hunt buffalo, and trade furs for trinkets, knives, bullets/ and or powder, and other essentials; meeting with the various trappers and traders enroute to their annual Rondezvouz, in Utah. Later, when the settlers came, various parcels of land became ranches, producing high protein hay for cattle, sheep, and horses.
The home, which is built on a 35 acre parcel, is adjacent to the Medicine Bow National Forest, and is in close proximity to the Colorado State Forest, and the BLM public Lands. In addition, the Davis Ranch, just to the west of the parcel, is a recent addition to the Arapahoe Wildlife Reserve.
The property, which is located approximately twenty miles NE of Walden, is part of Mountain Vista Ranch Subdivision, and affords magnificent views of North Park. Sentinal Mountain, just to the west; the Medicine Bow Range to the east, Rawah Range and Continental Divide to the south and west; Park Range, and Zirkel Wilderness areas.
Property is located about twenty miles NE of Walden. Drive north on Hwy 125 to the junction of Hwy 125/127; continue on Hwy 127 to CR 6E, turn south approximately 2 miles to wire fence gate. Property is about 1 mile east up the gravel road.
