This northwoods CFA 80 acres is just past the Net River Dam, and about 3/4 of a mile off US-41 south of Covington. Its off the grid for power as it's still a remote and sparsely populated area. The 80 was recently harvested by the seller--some timber is left to keep a nice sense of the northwoods. In some areas on the 80 the timber was not touched. The land terrain is rolling, generally rising from the front east end to the back west end. The seller also recently clearcut the adjacent acreage, so that should attract the deer and small game for hunting. You cross the actual Net River Dam to get to the property, which is just off Saine Lake Road. The Net River offers a variety of good fishing for northern, walleye, crappie and bass as it weaves from southern Baraga County to the Paint River in central Iron County. On its way, the Net River cuts through 1000s of acres of State of MI land as well as commercial forest lands, offering excellent canoeing and kayaking along the way. And, while this 80 seems remote and wild, you're still just 9 miles from the Covington corner, where you'll find the post office, a great convenience store, and restaurant/bar in town. The images of the Net River is 1/8 mile east of this parcel.
