This Medina County Ranch is approximately 14 miles north of Hondo, TX and can be accessed off of FM 462 north of Hondo and all-weather County Road 232 or paved FM 1796 and approximately 4 miles on a limestone all-weather County Road. An all-weather blacktop private road meanders through huge oaks from the main entry to the headquarters.
Being in the Hill Country area between South Texas Brush Country and the Hill Country, the ranch features beautiful rolling terrain and million dollar views from the higher elevations with giant live oaks, mature cedars and great deer brush. The property is tucked privately away among the incredible picturesque landscape offering the ultimate package of relaxation and recreational enjoyment. The ranch has five separate pastures; one low-fenced and 4 game-fenced with approximately 17 miles of all weather blacktop roads meandering through the property. Beautiful native landscape and giant live oaks encompass almost 90% of the ranch, with the remaining 10% being well manicured and organized pastures. The stunning main house is located on the eastern side of the property. This beautiful main house has a nice master bedroom and bath tastefully arranged for ultimate comfort. Vista Grande Lodge is situated at a high elevation allowing for tremendous views or the cascading scenery. Upon entering the main lodge, there is a grand entry with a double level stairway to the upstairs. The downstairs is comprised of an open living and dining area, a mud/laundry room, kitchen and breakfast area, a library/study/media room. There are total 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (2 are located on the floor level), with an abundance of large closet space. The master bathroom has a separate commode area, Jacuzzi tub, a make-up vanity and sitting area, 2 side-by-side sink/lavatories with generous countertop space, a walk in shower and a linen closet. The remaining bedroom & bathroom is located upstairs. The interior showcases ceramic, and hardwood floors all complimenting the other; walls are softly painted with some of the rooms accentuated with recessed ceilings and crown molding.
