Corinth Forest Woodlot
Corinth Forest is a 33 acre woodlot investment property. The acreage was last harvested in the mid-1970's, so it is ready to harvest now. The acreage is situated in the town of Corinth, ME and one of its boundaries is the town line separating Corinth and Hudson. The wood type observed during a visit to the site was predominately evergreen, with cedars and fir being the bulk of the observed tree types seen. There were some hardwood species, but the majority of the wood types were softwood varieties.
The property has a deeded right of way according to the most recent title search, but evidence of it on the ground was difficult to find. A survey would be advised. It appears that access to the right of way was from the Hudson Hill Road in the town of Hudson, ME. Boundary lines of the lot were observed painted along at least two of the boundaries on a recent site visit.
As a hunting property the dense evergreen cover is ideal deer wintering habitat, and numerous trails throughout the lot indicate that deer spend a good portion of the winter in this and the adjacent woodlots. The Corinth Forest Woodlot is either a timber or hunting property. Do not try to look at this acreage as a potential building lot as with no public road frontage, and only a right of way for access, building here is not allowed by the town of Corinth.
The town of Corinth, ME is a small community of 2,978 people. The community is spread out over the area with many home sites having large acreages the further out from the town center you go. Farm land and timberland is found throughout the area. Corinth is a bedroom community to the city of Bangor, ME. Bangor is where you would go to find shopping in the revitalized downtown as well as the Bangor Mall.
