Starting from the Twain Harte sign, pass under it and continue straight on Jouquin Gully Road.
In about 1 mile make a slight right. The road changes into Middle Camp Road.
Make the second left onto South Fork Road.
Stay on South Fork. Dont turn onto Confidence or any other spur roads.
About 2 miles after turning onto South Fork Road it will turn into the county gravel road.
About 2 miles, maybe 10 minutes, later you will cross over the South Fork river. Keep left around the turn, staying on Italian Bar Road (2N63).
About 2 miles later youll cross the first of 3 cattle grates.
About 1 mile further you will pass the OHV part on the right. There is a corral on the left. The road will turn to the left.
About 3 miles further, about 30 minutes after getting on the county road, youll pass Hess Mill, which consists of a barn and meadow on the left.
About 1 mile further youll cross the second cattle grate.
About 1 mile further youll cross a small bridge with a dry pond off to the left followed by a fenced yard. Then on the right youll pass a horse pasture and a couple of driveways later the Betty Boop Hideaway followed by another residence on the left with a large water storage tank. This is followed by a turnoff for Jupiter Mountain Works on the right and several roads on the left heading into the Jupiter area.
Shortly after this youll cross the last of the 3 cattle grates.
About 1 mile after crossing the bridge youll make a couple of more turns and be running along an open field to the left followed by a corral with a trailer in front of you.
4N18 will branch off to the right. Take this right.
Youll hit the forest road gate about 100 yards down the road and will now be on the dirt forest road.
About .75 miles further youll hit the main gate and see the well shed on the left.
If you go about .2 miles further, just past the National Forest boundary sign, there is another path leading off to the left. This will take you to another open section of the property with more level areas.
Depending upon how fast you drive youre looking at about 50 minutes since hitting the gravel county road.
