Records show Chevron buys Marcellus acres in W.Va.

Ohio County records show that Chevron Corp. has acquired about 4,400 acres in the Marcellus shale field in the Northern Panhandle county. September 20, 2011 The Intelligencer and Wheeling News Register ( ) says records in the Ohio County Clerk's Office show Chevron has taken over about 170 individual leases from AB Resources. The acreage is primarily near West Liberty and Triadelphia.
