Phoenix is only bidder on state land along Sonoran Parkway

Phoenix was the only bidder Wednesday at a state trust land auction of 626 acres in northern Phoenix. December 12, 2011 The city will pay $10.4 million to the Arizona State Land Department for the land along the Sonoran Parkway between the alignments of 16th and 32nd streets, said Vanessa Hickman, deputy state land commissioner. Phoenix will add the acreage to its Sonoran Preserve.
