Somerton annexing 81 acres on its SE corner

This city will take in 81 acres of primarily farmland on its southeastern corner in an annexation that Somerton officials hope will help spur economic development. August 28, 2011 The Somerton City Council recently approved the annexation of the area commonly known as La Mesa, bounded by Avenues 1-1/2 and B and County 16th and 16-1/4 streets.
