More than 114000 acres in state now in Conservation Reserve

Contracts for the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) for fiscal year 2012 have been awarded for 114,199 acres of land in California, says Val Dolcini, state executive director for the USDA Farm Service Agency. July 05, 2011 Over the 25 years of the program, California CRP conservation contracts have earned over $144 million for rural property owners and producers.
