Santa Cruz Land Trust set to acquire 18 acres in Scotts Valley

The Santa Cruz Land Trust expects to close escrow Thursday on a large parcel in Scotts Valley and plans to manage the area as open space to protect the endangered species that call the sensitive sandhills habitat home, a representative of the conservation group told city leaders Wednesday evening. December 21, 2011 The property is on the northeast side of Bean Creek Road, near the Montevalle of Scotts Valley mobile home park, and its owner is donating the parcel to the trust, Dan Medeiros, the trust's acquisition manager, said ahead of the meeting.
