Brush council considering purchase of nine acres
Source: Brush News-Tribune, by Iva Kay
Should a local property owner agree to a proposal from the City of Brush, council members may be approving a land purchase at their September 26 meeting. The acquisition of nine acres, if approved by council, will run a little more than $21,000 which includes closing costs of the transaction, as well as survey fees. The lump sum transaction also will include monies for current property owner, Weitzel Land, LLC, to construct a fence. During Monday night's work session of the council, City Administrator Monte Torres informed councilors that a proposal has been made, and if approved by all involved, would give the City of Brush a "perpetual easement" to the property located adjacent to the city's well fields located south of Brush.
