County to buy land for $13.7M

Boulder County will spend more than $13.7 million to buy and preserve 675 acres of property as open space, the Board of County Commissioners decided Tuesday. November 17, 2010 In one of those acquisitions, the county will pay $13.3 million to buy 577 acres of foothills ranch land north and south of Colo. Highway 7 west of Lyons from the Hall family. Commissioner Cindy Domenico said that after she personally toured that property, which would link Boulder County’s existing Hall Ranch and Heil Valley Ranch open space areas, she found it to be a “breathtaking” area.
