Eagle County land purchase gets thumbs up

Eagle County's plan to purchase a high-profile 7.2-acre piece of land west of Eagle that has long been home to an auto-salvage yard got enthusiastic initial approval Tuesday. Last week, the county announced its intent to enter into a $1.6 million contract with Ralph and Sherrie Seago to purchase the Eagle Auto Recycling and Towing property in west Eagle. The property is located north of U.S. Highway 6 at the west entrance to Eagle, at the confluence of Brush Creek and the Eagle River
