San Miguel County Conservation Easement Preserves 880 Acre Ranch

The San Miguel County Open Space Program helped fund the December 2010 purchase of a conservation easement on Charlene and Bobby Starks’ 880-acre North Mountain Ranch. According to a press release, the county program provided 97 percent of the purchase price with the Telluride Foundation providing the remaining 3 percent. The Starks donated approximately $100,000 in value. January 13, 2011
