Military buys Lee Farm property in Danbury for $4.3 million

After more than a year of controversy and negotiations, military officials have purchased 17 acres of the Lee Farm property off Wooster Heights for a new U.S. Army Reserve training center. Hal Kurfehs, vice president of Coldwell Banker Commercial Scalzo Group, and Joe Wrinn, vice president of Goodfellow-Ashmore Realty, announced the property sale late Thursday afternoon. Kurfehs and Wrinn said the $4.3 million deal marks the largest Danbury-are land transaction this year. Officials estimate the more than 200-acre Lee Farm property is worth more than $25 million.
