Pomfret residents vote to buy 260 acres to help town stay green

Nearly 100 residents at a town meeting Thursday approved spending $1 million to buy 260 acres for conservation and open space. December 16, 2011 The acreage includes seven parcels throughout town. In February 2008, residents approved a $4 million bond resolution to provide money for the town to purchase property and development rights for conservation, recreation or open space.
