Delaware business State approves sale of Riverfront land

The plan for a 14-screen movie theater on Wilmington’s Christina Riverfront moved closer to construction Friday, when a state panel approved the sale of 4.5 acres of surplus property for $4 million less than one appraisal says it’s worth, officials said. November 20, 2010 But even though the property at 401 S. Madison St. is owned by the Delaware Department of Transportation, which is embroiled in a controversy over two questionable land deals in Milford, no one is calling the Wilmington transaction a sweetheart deal.
