82 acre park caps Legacy Trails northern end

The Legacy Trail's northern end just got a boost with an 82-acre donation from Palmer Ranch developer Hugh Culverhouse. July 26, 2011 With a vote Tuesday, the Sarasota County Commission approved accepting the land that is now officially named the Culverhouse Nature Park. It is a landlocked parcel of ranchland surrounded by the 10,000-acre Palmer Ranch residential subdivision with 9,000 homes, condos and apartments.
