Satellite Beach leaders ponders sale of vacant land

Yellow beach daisies, grass, scattered litter and sandy patches still cover the vacant lot at State Road A1A and DeSoto Parkway, five years after city officials bought it for $1.53 million. The Satellite Beach Community Redevelopment Agency purchased these two commercial parcels -- which formerly housed the defunct Peg Leg's restaurant and Corinthians Apartments -- in May 2006.
