St. Joe trying to place 4519 acres into conservation program

Residential and commercial properties crowd the shore of the North Bay section of the St. Andrew Bay water system. But the only thing that inhabits large areas of the West Bay shoreline are rare sea grasses and migrating birds. July 14, 2011 Bay County and St. Joe Company are working to keep it that way by submitting an application for the acquisition of 4,519 acres to the Florida Forever program.
