Valdosta purchases land for wastewater plant

The City of Valdosta announced Wednesday the purchase of 75 acres of land for the future relocation of the Withlacoochee Wastewater Treatment Plant. January 17, 2011 Part of a 525-acre parcel, the acreage cost of $1,012,500 will be paid for by SPLOST VI. The city is also trying to gain funding approval from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
