Buhl approves land transfer with county

Twin Falls County will see the monthly utility bill tied to its Department of Motor Vehicles office, located inside Buhl’s City Hall, reduced for three years. That’s in exchange for the county deeding a vacant lot on Broadway Avenue North to the city. November 12, 2010 The county came into possession of the lot through a property tax delinquency, said Mayor Tom McCauley, and offered the lot to the city if it waived a portion of the county’s water and sewer bill. The waived portion, $28.13 a month, totals just more than $1,012. The county would continue paying its monthly portion of water and sewer bond repayments.
