Sometimes golfers shank a ball on the Settler’s Hill’s famous hole 17, and it lands on the roof of the now-shuttered former Kane County Jail. “It’s called a ‘mulligan,’ ” said Geneva Mayor Kevin Burns, referring to the golfing term for a permitted do-over.
