Farmer donates 40 acres of land in Fishers to preservation group

A forty-acre piece of prime real estate in Fishers will not be developed. Instead, it will become a nature preserve thanks to a farmer's final wishes. December 06, 2011 The property is located on the southeast corner of 116th Street and Eller Road. It has been in Van Eller's family since the 1830s. Before he died last year he vowed it would not go to developers.
