Crawford County Conservation Department looks to purchase 16.3 acres

The Crawford County Conservation Department is looking to purchase 16.3 acres of land north of Deloit that is adjacent to public hunting ground currently owned by the county. The property known as the Riggelman property would be used as an access to the hunting land and could be used for other purposes. The Crawford County Attorney’s Office is working with the current owners of the Riggelman property on the cost of the purchase which has been set at $2,800 dollars per acre. A public hearing has been set on the issue for August 03, 2011
