Farmland values still booming with record $16750 per acre sale

A year ago, a sale of farmland near Orange City for $13,950 per acre was the talk of the state. Sioux Center broker Ben Jans, who handled the sale, figured a new record wouldn’t be broken soon. October 27, 2011 But as a sale approached earlier this month for a 120-acre tract north of Sioux Center, Jans suspected he might be wrong.
