Group buys 649 acres on behalf of Audubon State Park

A new map board of the 724-acre John James Audubon State Park recently went up at the trail head near the park office, but it may already be on the verge of being outdated. November 28, 2011 A coalition of five Hendersonians purchased nearly 650 acres directly north of the park at auction on Monday morning with the expectation that it will be acquired by a state fund and be added to Audubon Park.
