Another 133 acres will be conserved through the Kennebunkport Conservation Trust after the generous donation of a local family. January 05, 2012 Lorraine Hutchins of Biddeford said the 133 acres includes land her husband, Bill, inherited from his father. Resting on the Kennebunkport and Biddeford town line just off Route 9, the land is primarily wetlands and uplands and is located fully in Kennebunkport. Hutchins said it has become difficult to access and keep up with the land, and with an interest in conservation themselves, the two decided to donate it. "It's a great habitat for animals. There's a lot of animals up there and we like that," Hutchins said. "We just don't want it developed. We want to keep it the way it is. We like seeing the animals there every year and just don't want to destroy the fields."
