Land Trust conserves 194 acres of land on Maquoit Bay in Brunswick

Earlier this month, the Brunswick Topsham Land Trust pulled off a major land conservation effort, preserving 194 acres of land overlooking Maquoit Bay. August 22, 2011 Angela Twitchell, the Land Trust’s Executive Director, said that by acquiring a conservation easement on the Chase Reserve – the property is named after long time owner Benjamin Chase, who was an officer in the Revolutionary War – a modest parking area and public trails will eventually be established.
