The MFT Gallery, 97 Main St., will focus exclusively on farm-related art depicting the current vibrancy of agriculture in Maine. It will celebrate the opening of its first show, “Logos & Labels: Ten years of farm branding,” which are illustrations and designs by Jackson resident Gabe McPhail, 5-8 p.m. Friday, May 2.
Initially developed for a variety of Maine farm product labels and other marketing materials, McPhail’s illustrations have been transformed here into a series of archival prints, representing a wide range of artistic mediums and styles. Her work will be displayed throughout May and June.
The Maine Farmland Trust Gallery invites the public to attend the opening celebration and learn more about MFT’s work to protect and preserve Maine’s farmland, keep agricultural lands working and support the future of farming in Maine.
