Nearly 600 acres of Worcester County forest land protected

Nearly 600 acres of Worcester County forest land will be protected and 10 development rights extinguished with the preservation of the Adkins property. This is land that links other protected properties in the Dividing Creek Watershed and is a habitat for plants and wildlife. The 592 acres is now part of over 16,000 protected acres from the Pocomoke State Forest to the Nassawango Creek Preserve. April 27, 2011
