Council OKs land purchase

The City Council last night voted to spend $172,500 toward the acquisition of about 13 acres of property from the Sisters of Notre Dame that will eventually be added to Green Hill Park. June 22, 2011 The parcel, off Trinity Avenue, will actually be bought by the Greater Worcester Land Trust for $430,000 and then resold by the nonprofit to the city for the money appropriated yesterday.
