Mass. buys 843 undeveloped acres in Tolland

The state is acquiring 843 acres of undeveloped forests, fields and streams in Tolland in a purchase that will help form a 5,000-acre preserve. May 06, 2011 The Twining Lake parcel in southwestern Massachusetts, which had been the largest piece of property for sale in the state, will be linked to the nearby Tolland State Forest to create the preserve.
