NH land conservation project gets $2.2 million

Nearly 3,000 acres of land will be added to a wildlife refuge in northern New Hampshire as part of a five-phase land conservation project. May 16, 2011 The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on Monday announced that $2.2 million has been awarded to the Androscoggin Headwaters land preservation project at Umbagog National Wildlife Refuge. The money will be used to purchase land that will become part of the wildlife refuge in Errol.
