Westport acquires 11 acres next to Old Harbor Wildlife Refuge

A conservation restriction has been approved for 11 acres next to the Old Harbor Wildlife Refuge, which will expand an already-wide area between Acoaxet and Adamsville as protected from development. December 18, 2011 The wildlife refuge provides 76 acres between Old Harbor and River roads, and another 20-acre parcel just to the south is also protected. Three other properties also have forestry or agriculture restrictions.
