$2.9 fund to help protect Michigan farmland

The American Farmland Trust says $2.9 million has been set aside from the sale of a southwestern Michigan family's farm to help keep other farmland in the state in agricultural use. January 21, 2011 Owen and Ellen Love have a 660-acre farm in Climax, about 50 miles southeast of Grand Rapids. They've bequeathed it to the American Farmland Trust with the idea of protecting Michigan farmland.
