County passes 90000 acres of preserved farmland

Lancaster County passed another milestone Wednesday on the path to becoming the first county in the nation to preserve 100,000 acres of farmland. At their weekly meeting, the county commissioners approved the preservation of three farms totaling 232 acres, which pushed the total acreage of protected farmland here over 90,000. August 31, 2011
