MOFFATT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - A landlocked property owner's gravel path across state land to his cabin in Arenac County is part of a dispute with the state.
Fifty-year-old John J. Super of Saginaw County's Kochville Township owns 120 acres west of Interstate 75 in Moffatt Township. State-owned land borders the property on three sides, while private land is on the fourth side.
Earlier this month, state Department of Natural Resources crews bulldozed a 190-yard gravel path leading to Super's cabin.
The DNR says Super was trespassing by widening a footpath into a gravel driveway. Super says he wants a way to get to his land.
