The parcel of land would bring the district up to the roughly five acres the state requires for the new Piedmont Elementary School property, said Kerry Leider, property and risk manager for the district. The district and the church have been working for a couple of years on the sale — the last piece for the new Piedmont school, which is scheduled to open to students on Sept. 9.
