Houston man donates 244 acres to land trust

Kent Holen wanted his land preserved for future generations. So Holen worked with the Minnesota Land Trust to protect and conserve his 244-acre property, located six miles north of the Root River in Houston County. The property includes flat land, woodlands, prairie and bluffs. It’s a particularly valuable donation because of both its size and the variety of natural habitat it offers, said Chris Larson with the Minnesota Land Trust.
