Public to celebrate new 100 acres at William OBrien State Park

When the Parks & Trails Council of Minnesota purchased nearly 100 acres of private property inside William O’Brien State Park in Marine on St. Croix in December, it began planning a celebration. April 12, 2011 After all, the park is one of the most-used state parks in the metro area. And when the property is transferred to the state this year, the park will be about 10 times larger than when it was created in 1947 - 1,750 acres.
