Washington County adds to Cottage Grove Ravine Regional Park with land purchase

Washington County commissioners on Tuesday approved the purchase of land that will be added to the Cottage Grove Ravine Regional Park. October 18, 2011 County Board members unanimously approved the $164,000 acquisition of 4.6 acres of land near the corner of Keats Avenue and East Point Douglas Road that sits within the county’s master plan for the 515-acre park. County parks director John Elholm said the hilly, grassy parcel will help provide a buffer between a park overlook area and the busy intersection of Highway 61, Keats Avenue and East Point Douglas Road.
