Land sale Wednesday tops record price set in February

When the 160-acre McBurney farmland sold at auction Feb. 18 for $10,700 an acre, Marshall attorney Don Huff said the sale "made a little history today." The McBurney land sale, managed by Summers Auctioneers, was a record at the time. June 13, 2011 Last week, a little more history was made as Dyer and Fenner Auctioneers managed the sale of 80 acres owned by Arnold M. and Rodney G. Fenner.
