Missouri E 10 mandate goes into effect New Years Day

December 31, 2007 A new state law goes into effect Tuesday, New Years Day 2008, making Missouri one of a handful of states to put in place a statewide ethanol fuel mandate. But, most gas stations have already been selling E-10 gasoline for several months, according to the state ag department’s Ron Hayes, manager of the fuel quality program. The law says E-10 is to be distributed from terminals to local gas stations whenever the price of E-10 is the same as or less than the price of unblended gasoline. The price of regular gas is up. The price of ethanol has been lower, due to oversupply.
