More acreage bought for Carson City parks

Nearly a 1,000 acres of land is being added to Carson City's parks system in the Carson River Canyon. February 07, 2011 The city purchased 419 acres along the river Jan. 28. Officials are negotiating the purchase of another 490 acres in the same area. The land purchased last month protects more than three miles of frontage along the river.
