City to buy 27 acres for conservation

Concord city councilors voted last night to spend $190,000 to conserve 27 acres of open land north of Hopkinton Road, adjacent to Dimond Hill Farm. April 12, 2011 The farm, which is already under a conservation easement, uses the land's 20 acres of open fields to grow crops. That will continue after the city buys the land and the Five Rivers Conservation Trust obtains a conservation easement to protect it.
